Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a therapeutic practice that involves placing cups made of glass or silicone on a person's skin to create pressure, drawing blood to the affected area and improving circulation. This process relieves muscle tension, reduces inflammation, and improves overall circulation.

Cupping is commonly used to treat chronic pain, including back pain and headaches, which often arise from stress-induced muscle tension. It can be paired with other stress-reducing treatments, such as massage, to address both physical and mental symptoms of stress.

Deep Tissue Massage

This massage technique uses firm pressure and slow strokes to target deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, releasing chronic tension and helping to alleviate pain and stiffness. With its focus on realigning muscle fibers and breaking up adhesions, deep tissue massage can improve mobility and enhance your overall well-being.

Sports Massage

Incorporating a massage into your training program can provide various benefits for the body. A massage aids in muscle recovery after exercise and promotes conditioning by improving blood and lymph circulation. It reduces soreness, stiffness, and the risk of future injury.

You can receive a massage post-event or workout, or as a pre-event warm-up to maximize performance and minimize the risk of injury. Regular massages can also help to relieve tight muscles, increasing flexibility and reducing pain.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique focused on encouraging the movement of lymphatic fluid throughout the body. This treatment is great for post-operative care to promote healing and relieve painful swelling caused by lymphedema.

It involves gently manipulating specific areas of the body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels. When medical treatment or illness blocks the lymphatic system, lymph collects in the neck, arms, and legs, causing them to swell. A massage therapist can use MLD techniques to move lymph from the tissues to the lymph nodes, easing swelling and relieving pain.

Swedish Massage
